Jesse Daniel hails from California but now has set up his home in Austin, Texas. On the podcast we talk about Buck Owens and the ‘Bakersfield Sound‘. We talk about his musical influences that inspired his three albums the self titled ‘Jesse Daniel’ (2018), ‘Rollin’ On‘ (2020) and ‘Beyond These Walls‘ (2021). Jesse’s first album acted as a prelude to what this authentic country artist can do with his lyrics, voice and finger picking guitar skills. One of the highlights from that album was ‘Soft Spot (For The Hard Stuff)’.

Jesse’s second album ‘Rollin’ On‘ truly acted as his calling card in the world of country music with hits such as ‘Rollin’ On‘ and his autobiographical ‘Son of the San Lorenzo‘. It cemented a position of a new upcoming star who could deliver a soul searching, truth telling and hard hitting sound.

In between albums Jesse toured with Charley Crockett and Victoria Bailey to showcase his musical talents. He’s also collaborated with the likes of Jodi Lyford, Caleb Melo and Taylor Rae. Jesse and Taylor grew up not too far from each other and didn’t collaborate musically until quite recently and the results are simply magnificent.

Jesse released his third album in 2021 and showed how much as an artist he has progressed as a singer, as a songwriter and performer. One of the gems from this album is ‘Think I’ll Stay’ a tune that’ll have you dancing in the kitchen for sure.
